2013 PRC and Taiwan Universities Accounting Debate Competition held in JUFE

On 6^th December, 2013 PRC and Taiwan Universities Accounting Debate Competition was held in the international academic report hall on Jiaoqiao North Campus in JUFE. Dean of the School of Accounting, Dr. Zhang Weidong hosted the opening ceremony.

Professor Deng Hui, vice president of JUFE delivered the welcoming speech. He represented for the whole pupils and staff, expressed a warm welcome to the 16 teams from the PRC and Taiwan universities, and expressed his sincerely thankfulness to the guests and audience.

Representatives from Taiwan accounting research development foundation and Taiwan contestant gave speeches. They first expressed their thanks to the volunteers’ thoughtful service, who were from School of Accounting, and highly praised the rigorous earnest research ideas of JUFE. Mr. Xie Guosong, a member of Taiwan accounting research development foundation, expressed his thanks to JUFE for the gracious invitation.

It’s reported that in this year the accounting debate competition was mainly organized by JUFE and in collaboration with the Taiwan accounting research development foundation and the Taiwan Accounting Research Magazine. During the two-day competition, 16 teams from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Central University of Finance and Economics, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Taiwan University, Kun Shan University of Technology will take part in gold, silver, bronze competition. Since2002 the accounting debate competition was held for the first time, it has been 12 years so far. This competition was designed to set up the platform for universities’ exchange both in Taiwan and in China mainland, promote the students’ communication. The competition is to improve the students’ language competence, strengthen their cooperation spirit, and inspire students’ love to the academic and thoughts.
